"Oh yes, quite was. It became part of why they couldn't care for me." She wasn't buying it anymore. He needed help. His phone buzzed. "Excuse me a moment." He said, checking to see what it was. It was a request for a new job.

No, his story had changed. And when it came to looking after a child typically relatives pulled it together. Her father had been an awful exception but that didn't change the fact that this guy's story was not making sense and was rapidly shifting.
"No problem," she said warmly when he needed to take some message or something. Why in the heck did this guy feel the need to lie about his past? That was suspicious as all hell.

Guillermo pulled a surprised face, putting the table knife down finally. "I'm sorry, I have to go. It was lovely meeting you, Ms. Jadis." He rose, extending a hand to shake. He needed to get out of here before she acted on the suspicions that had to be forming in her head.

"It was nice meeting you too." She stood to shake his hand. At least this meant she had something to do. As soon as she left she planned on doing a little digging to see exactly what she could find about Alexander Swann. If that was his real name she'd find records. and if not she'd be even more suspicious. Her eyes bore into him as she let her hand drop, burning the details of his physical description into her brain. She'd be keeping tabs on this one.

Guillermo walked as quickly as he could without arousing more suspicion. He'd be seeing her again. He felt like she'd been sitting in his working chair before long.
