To Thea, the idea that Oliver was back and alive was all still so new and shocking, but she loved it. But what was she supposed to do? Drop her normal life and try to find time to bond with her brother again? That's exactly what she'd done, at least for a few days. She needed to figure out her life schedule again while also seeing her brother.
It had been a few days since he'd come back and Thea was walking the halls of Queen Mansion. She stopped and knocked on his door, "Ollie, it's me. Thea. Can I come in?" she asked.

"Yeah, it's open!" He called from his seat in the rear of the room. He'd been reviewing some things on the laptop, catching up on events and the like. But he'd always have time for his sister. Hopefully she didn't hate him or anything.

Thea opened the door and stepped inside, looking around, "Huh. I expected you to miss the island. I was expecting vines and sand and stuff all over the place." It was a joke, she wasn't sure what else to lead with.

Oliver only laughed. It was his sister, he couldn't really hold that against her. "Yeah. I thought about it, but decided I'd had enough of the whole earthy thing." He smiles at her. "Good to see you again Speedy. I've been on that island for a while so..I'm a little out of practice with my speech making." Chuckling wryly, he looks at her.

She nodded, "You know, you don't have to call me that," she told him, "The whole 'Speedy' thing? That's a bit old. Never really liked it anyway." She sighed, "Besides, I think Richard would laugh at that."

"Well, it was relevant five years ago. Cut your brother a little slack, would ya?" Oliver smiles a bit, but then he stares at her at the mention of Richard. "Richard? Who is this Richard, what is he to you and how long has it been going on?"

She sighed, "You don't need to try to be an overprotective big brother. It's played out, and I'm old enough to do things my own way," she told Oliver, "Besides, Richard's a good guy, so you have nothing to worry about."

"I don't have to. But I'm going to be. And you don't have to worry. I'm not going to beat him up. Just gonna have some words with him. And if he's the kind of guy you say he is, we'll be just fine." His family had been without him for too long, and he would at least try to be there for them.

"Trust me. You don't need to have words with him," Thea told Oliver, "I mean, there's no reason he wouldn't, but he's a really good guy. Probably better than I deserve." She said that last part a bit more quietly.

He knew she was being truthful. He could tell from her eyes. But he wouldn't let this go. Not until he confirmed for himself. Trust issues and all that. "You deserve the best, Thea." he says genuinely. "Dad thought that too. Now..if I don't need to have words with him, then at least tell me how you met the guy."

She sighed, "A party...," she muttered. Well, she didn't need to tell him the whole truth of the matter of that party, but she figured her tone would betray her to an extent.

"A party.." He trails off, deciding to think aloud. "So you got drunk, met pretty boy at said party...he probably played the hero and took you somewhere safe and didn't take advantage of you." Oliver would only need one look to betray her silent confirmation of that hypothesis.

"To be fair, we were both drunk and he probably couldn't have taken advantage of me even if he'd wanted to." That was supposed to be kind of a joke, but Thea had a bit of a bitter tone obscuring it, "Don't worry, Tommy played the hero and took me home, but when we met again he didn't want to have sex with me or anything. He's a good guy, Richard."

He'd have to thank Tommy for that later. Oliver let a small chuckle out at the joke, noting the undertone. "Well, sounds like that turned out well. You going to wait a while before telling Mom?"

"Oh, she knows," Thea told Oliver, "So don't worry about that. That's all taken care of. He's still alive, so I think Mom approves. Now, his last name being Grayson is another matter...," she muttered. Then stopped, "Adopted son of Bruce Wayne. Mom thinks it's suspicious one of our rival companies has their son here and I'm dating him." she explained.
