Overview: Guillermo, or as he prefers to be known, Brutale, is a twisted, twisted soul. His chosen line of work is killing people with sharp objects, and he works all over the world. He seems to have centered in on Starling in recent years because he's getting a lot of contracts in the area, which he's completely fine with; money is money. He has an odd fixation on cutting people, bordering on sociopathy, which he expresses through his work. But if he goes too long without a job, he will kidnap someone to fulfill it. He's killed 30 people this way so far.

History
Guillermo Barrera was abandoned at birth, and raised in a Christian orphanage with a lovely view of the Christ the Redeemer statue. Looking up at it every day, Guillermo decided he wanted to be a missionary when he grew up. The orphanage was not a kind place, and Guillermo was abused every day, by the orphanage staff and other boys. But looking up at the statue every day, Guillermo was able to maintain hope, until he was adopted at the age of 12 by a rich couple from America. They took him home with them, and Guillermo lost the one light in his life.
He began playing with knives at 13, training himself to fight. This was in addition to the martial arts classes his adoptive parents paid for. He abandoned his dreams of becoming a missionary, and when he was 18, he killed his parents over the course of 8 days, blaming them for taking him from Brazil and the statue that was his only bright point. When they were dead, he vanished.
He returned to Rio, and took up residence underneath the Christ the Redeemer, establishing himself as first an enforcer for the local cartel, then a feared hit man, then a legitimate assassin. He killed his first high-value target, the boss of a rival cartel, when he was only 23. He began traveling around the world to ply his trade, killing men the world over in his own way. Recently, he's gotten a permanent a home as he dare, a safehouse in Starling City, and has been carrying out several contracts in the city.
