Overview: Wesley likes to think of himself as a man of the world, mainly because of his experience in other countries. He can act very charming to people he wants to charm and incredibly snarky to people he doesn’t like. Being as close to a typical spoiled brat as one can be, he is incredibly self-centred, never getting into a scrape without wondering how it would benefit him. He does his best to keep the broken, psychologically-damaged Wesley Dodds confined to the bedroom...in a non-sexual manner, of course.

History
Wesley Dodds was born on the road. Both his parents were very rich and travelled a lot, and he was often brought along for the ride. When he was a child, his mother died under unknown circumstances. He spent a lot of his youth in the Orient, where he learned herbalism, martial arts and origami from a number of teachers in a number of schools. Eventually both he and his father settled down in his father’s mansion in Ottawa.
Sadly, Wesley’s dad died of get-out-of-the-story-itis, leaving Wesley the mansion and a vast fortune. Unfortunately, it didn’t do much to aid his mental state. After his father died, he began to experience incredibly vivid dreams that he couldn’t rid himself of. He spent a considerable amount of his fortune on receiving treatment and finding a possible cure.
Throwing money didn’t help much, and the dreams remained as vivid as ever. Wesley was $1,000,000 down and had made no progress. However, Wesley was fairly financially savvy. If he went for any more treatment, he might bankrupt himself. Seeing as there was practically no way to recover it through legal means, and in need of quick money, it seemed the only option was to go into thievery. However, being a wealthy socialite, his face was well-known, so he crafted a persona known as the Sandman, because he put everyone to sleep while he stole their money, using a sleeping gas he formulated from various herbs and chemicals.
