"No, you're really not." The Sandman brought his head forward violently.

Red X was stunned by the headbutt, which rattled the equipment under his mask. His rebreather fell off slightly, as well as turning off his voice changer

Seizing the opportunity, the Sandman unhooked the grappling hook from his belt and pushed himself away. Thinking fast, he fired another stream of gas at Red X.

Red X coughed as he breathed in some of the sleeping gas. Some of it was being filtered, but not all. He could feel himself slowing down as he slowly stood up.

"No, no, no, no, no, you stay down!" The Sandman shot yet another stream of gas at Red X. Granted, the vigilante was taking it slow, but the Sandman wanted him to be face down on the marble floor.

Red X only had a minute or two before he would fall, and there wasn't much he could do. His voice changer and gas mask were off, and he couldn't fix either without removing his mask. Red X fell to the floor again, without the energy to stand up.

The Sandman began to fill his jacket pockets with fallen notes. He was glad that the so-called Pentagon hacker was on the ground, like the rest of the guards who thought they could get in his way. Once he had taken his fill of money, he carefully stepped around Red X, heading for the exit.

X looked up through his mask, heavily sedated but awake. He knew he couldn't get to her - but he also knew that the cops were coming. He had to get away himself before they threw him in a cell.

The Sandman graciously tipped his hat to the vigilante as he went back into the lobby. He would certainly make a better captive. He was far too well-dressed to be viciously handled by the police.

Red X stared at Sandman's blank face. He began to slowly pick himself up from being prone. He fired his grappling hook at his tie, planning to retract it and drag him into his fist.

"Nuh-uh!"
With that remark, all the Sandman did was step to the side and the hook missed him. It was the first rule of combat: If you couldn't hit, be very good at getting out of the way.
"I'd love to stay and do whatever it is people dressed like that do, but the police are on their way."

Red X was too sedated to try anything. He simply raised a middle finger before slowly moving to a standing position. He propelled himself upward with his grappling hook, vanishing into a vent.
