Overview: Vic Sage was born to solve mysteries. He leaves no stone untouched, no secret unmolested. There is great truth in this universe and Vic wants desperately to know it. Traffic laws, breaking and entering, thievery - these crimes matter little to him and will break them if needed. It is only when these crimes in-danger another human being that Vic will put his foot down. He cares little for material wealth, fame, and recognition. His only goal is the truth, nothing else matters.
Despite this, Vic can be kind of the geek. He enjoys comic books (even writes a few himself in his spare time) and will often partake in a little roleplaying, online and off. He is also a huge fan of boxer Ted Grant, to almost obsessive levels.

History
Charles Victor Szasz was named after his father Victor Szasz, an abusive asshole who would treat his wife and kid like utter garbage. One day his mother just couldn't take it anymore and stabbed him in the gut. He survived, but she was hauled away to a mental institution. His father wanted nothing to do with poor Charles so he dumped him in an orphanage. Unbeknownst to Charles, Victor Szasz would later change his name to Victor Zsasz and start a new family in Gotham.
Charles, as kid growing up in the orphanage, was quite the troublemaker. He would often get into fights with not only the other children, but the Catholic Nuns who ran the orphanage. He was adopted several times, but always wound back where he started. When he turned 18, he left the orphanage for good and managed to get into collage to study journalism. However, his higher learning did not mellow his violent tendencies, such as when he beat up his pusher for screwing him out of big money for cheaply made LSD.
Charles began to focus that rage into boxing. He became quite the contender, but quit when he nearly beat a fellow contender to death for calling him a few names. Charles vowed never to raise a fist in violence again. That little incident got him kicked out of college, but that mattered little to Charles, now going by the name Vic Sage. Vic didn't plan on landing some lofting job at some place like the Daily Planet, Vic wanted to expose injustice and corruption.
He started his own investigative online blog, "The Question," and went around in his van, Scooby-Doo style, gaining quite the reputation. He eventually found himself in Starling City, following a rumor that Merlyn Industries, and in particular its CEO Malcolm Merlyn, were up to no good.
He attempted to track down his family sometime ago, only to discover that his mother had passed away during her first year in the mental hospital and his father had suffered some horrible accident some years ago, trapping him in a coma. He did encounter his younger half-brother, Victor Zsasz, and the two stay in semi-touch.
