Overview: Moira puts on this air about her that she's this high class sophisticated careerwoman who enjoys the finer things in life and throws extravagant parties, but who is the real Moira Queen? She always has this guard around her and when she does express emotion it doesn't always feel genuine, but like she was merely acting. The only thing truly genuine about her is the love she has for children. If you mess with kids, her inner lioness springs forth and she will do anything in her power to make you pay.

Moira married into the Queen family fairly young, coming from a well off family herself. It wasn't to long that she gave birth to a baby boy, she named Oliver (after the musical which was one of her first dates with Robert). Robert soon took over his father's company and made it into the corporate power house it is today.
Years later, Moira gave birth to another child, this time a girl, she named Thea, after the Greek Titaness Theia (literally "the divine"), for she claimed the child's very existence was nothing short of a miracle at work.
She watched her children grow up and she was content. That all changed when her husband and son were lost at sea, their boat, The Queen's Gambit, wrecked by a terrible storm. She spent the next five years in agony with only Thea at her side, but her daughter had taken to drugs and slowly drifted away from her..
