It had been a few days since the party where he'd met Thea, and he had spent those few days studying and preparing for upcoming tests, as well as making sure that his combat and acrobatic skills were still honed. Despite the fact he had to hide his combat skills if he were to be mugged, it was known that he knew some martial arts, so it did help him. But, he felt like he should go see Thea: Not because he had grown attached to her in a single evening, but because he wanted to make sure she was okay.
And so, walking to the Queen mansion, he approached the door. For one of the first times in a long time, he felt nervous. Maybe it was because she was an heiress and he wasn't sure whether he'd be making a good impression or a fool of himself. Ringing the door bell, he stood there, waiting for someone to answer the door and humming to himself.

Thea was walking to her room when she heard the doorbell. She stopped and looked down from the landing, but nobody was around to get the door. She waited a few moments, but didn't hear anyone coming, so she sighed and turned to go down the stairs. She hurried a little since she'd already wasted some time standing around.
Before opening it, she checked the peephole. She smiled when she drew away from it and opened the door. "Grayson," she said as she gave him a smile, "To what do I owe this pleasure?"

Humming as he waited for the door to be opened, he wondered if Thea would remember him. She had been drunk at the party, but she had seemed aware of her surroundings and what was happening around her as well. But she did have a bit of trouble speaking and she had seemed a bit dazed, so there was a fifty fifty, possibly sixty forty chance that she wouldn't remember him.
But, then she answered the door with a smile and asked what he was doing around these parts. Smiling back, he said [font "Oh, I was in the neighbourhood and I thought I'd see if you remembered meeting me." There was some jesting in his voice but he was being truthful.

"I was drunk, not braindead," she told him, "There's no way I could forget someone like you." She stepped aside and opened the door wider, in case he wanted to come inside. No matter how drunk she'd been that night, remembering him was going to be something she'd fought for. She didn't want to forget meeting him, someone who was nice and that attractive.
"You can come inside if you want. I think I might be the only one home." Since nobody had come to the door, she assumed as much.

"Well, the sentiment is returned: It's hard to forget someone like you." He gave her a grin as he said that, making it clear that he did believe that she was one of the most beautiful girls he'd ever seen. But he didn't just like her for her beauty: He could see she was compassionate, kind and someone that wouldn't hurt him.
Stepping inside, he looked around. "Nice place: And well, means I don't get to meet the famous Moira Queen. I'm happy to be here with the famous Thea Queen." He gave her another smile, and looked around once again.

She smiled and closed the door behind him, "Mom might be home later. I mean, assuming you're still around later. But I'm not sure why you wouldn't be, since you seem to be rather attached to me." She walked in front of him and gave him a smile, "Probably as much as I'd like to be attached to you."
She paused for a moment, "So, are you the famous Richard Grayson, then?" she asked. She figured that made sense, based on his history, since she could hold it in comparison to her own.

"Well, it depends on whether or not you kick me out. If you do, I'll meet her some other time possibly. And I'm already a bit attached to you Thea: I guess looking after someone when you're drunk leaves a bit of a bond." He gave her a smile, seeing that there was already somewhat of a connection between the two, though he thought it was just friendly for now.
"Yep, the one and only. And I already know you're that famous Thea Queen, so it's time to dispense with the formalities. So, any ideas on what we can do? I visited to see if you're okay but doesn't mean I also didn't visit for a social visit." He gave her another smile, hoping she had some ideas.

"Now, tell me, why would I want to kick you out?" she questioned. She took a step closer to him, "I'm not a bad hostess, and well, I like you. Not a lot of people would look after a drunk young girl like you did." She knew friends, both male and female, who could confirm that. Female friends who'd been taken advantage of, male friends whom had taken advantage of other girls.
Her smile faded, then came back again, "Well...here's something." She got up on her toes and kissed his cheek, because that was easier for now. Besides, she wanted to see if she could encourage something out of him by being the one to start.

"No idea, just something I had a fear you would want to do." As she took a step closer to him, he kept his arms at his side despite this sudden urge he had to pull her into a hug. And then, he just shrugged and spoke "I guess I have some sort of thing where I don't like taking advantage of a helpless, drunk girl." It was true, he was the type of person to look after a drunk girl instead of taking advantage of them.
As she kissed his cheek, he smiled and said "It's a start. Heres how we can keep going." Stepping forward, he put his arms around her and leaned down, softly kissing her. He had a feeling she was waiting for him to kiss her but didn't want to overstep things.

Joy filled Thea as he kissed her. She hadn't wanted to make the first move and kiss him, so she was glad that the cheek kiss had prompted this. She did her best to get her arms around him and return his kiss. By no means was this an overstep of anything, it was exactly what she wanted.
After a bit she pulled away from him, "Well, glad we got that done right away. That's exactly what I was hoping you'd do. And I was hoping for that at the party too, although that might have been drunk me thinking that."

It wasn't everyday that he kissed a girl without thinking about it, but that was probably because he didn't kiss a girl everyday. He felt like kissing Thea was right, and it was something he should do right now. His arms were still around her, and as they separated, he just smiled at her.
"Trust me, I wanted to when we were drunk. But, I didn't feel like it was the right thing to do. And now, I'm a bit frustrated I didn't do it sooner." He smiled again. He wasn't sure what he could say now.

She smiled, "I don't know, maybe you should have when we were drunk." She could see why he didn't, but wouldn't have minded after thinking about it later. "I'm just glad that you did it. If you hadn't, I don't know what I'd have had to do."
She could have kissed him herself, but that didn't feel right. Not just out of gender roles, but she wasn't sure how he felt, and wanted to make sure things were mutual.

"I think I didn't because I wanted to be sure that you actually did feel this way. And well, then I'm glad I did too...I like you Thea. I'm not sure how much, since we don't know each other that well, but I do like you."
And this was the truth: he did like Thea. Maybe it was quite romantic, maybe it wasn't that far. But he really did care for her, despite not knowing her. And he was just happy to be here with her right now.

She just smiled at that, "Well, I like you too. You're a good man, and well, you're cute. That really helps." She said that last part as a bit of a joke, although there was seriousness to that. He was just all around good, someone she liked. He had helped her, he was attractive, he was a good man. Why wouldn't she like him?
"So, is there anything you want to do right now?" she asked. It held no connotation towards anything particular, it was just a question.

Dick just smiled and chuckled as she made a joke at the end of her sentence. He knew it was a joke and thought it was a good thing that she was funny: He liked someone with a sense of humour. She was a good person, she was attractive and she was funny: Why shouldn't he have an attraction to her? Was it really that crazy?
"Well, maybe we could just sit somewhere, spend some time together and get to know you. It'd help to get to know each other and it just means we will know each other better." He gave her a smile and a quick peck on the cheek.
