Tommy looked at him, "Get out. I'm not sharing a ride with you." He looked at the driver, "Don't go yet. He's not sharing this ride with me. And if he won't leave, then I will." He looked back at the man, feeling very uncomfortable with his presence.

"Tommy Merlin, is that correct?" he asked, his hand firmly in his right coat pocket.

"Who are you?" Tommy hissed. He didn't see the man's hand going into his pocket, or he'd have done something. What? He had no idea, but something.

"No one really, just a man wanting to take a little ride and have a nice pleasant chat with you."

"I'm getting out," he told the driver. He quickly opened his door and hit the trunk. He'd paid, he could take this man somewhere, hopefully somewhere away from him.

"I'm afraid I can't let you do that," he gestured to the hand in his pocket, "I'm sure you know I mean business."

Tommy stopped and stood there, "What is it you want?" he questioned nervously. He looked at the driver, who was watching in the rearview mirror. He was starting to dial "911" for safety reasons.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," he said to the driver, "Not if you want something to happen to this man."

"Ok, now, what is it that you want? You want something, that much is pretty clear," Tommy told him. If he could keep him talking and not shooting or something, that would be useful.

"Get back in the car," was all he said.

Tommy looked around, but didn't know what to do. This guy probably had a gun, so he should listen. There was nobody around to help. On the other hand, he might not have a gun, and was just playing him. But he was too much of a coward to take that risk, and got back inside.

"Close the door and lock it," he said to Tommy.
"Drive," he said to the driver.

Tommy did as commanded and looked at the man, "Ok, what is it that you want from me?" Tommy asked, "Money? I can get you money."

"Not interested," he replied, "All I want from you is information."

He was confused now. "Information? What type of information?" Was this some sort of corporate warfare or something? Did he want information about the family company? Well, he was out of luck, Tommy didn't have any of that to give him. He had no idea how things worked, so he honestly couldn't say much.
