"All I want to know is what color was your father's tie today?"

He just stared at the man for about ten seconds, not saying a word. "His...his tie? Are you serious?" Tommy asked. Oh good, taunt the man with a possible gun, smart idea Tommy... He swallowed, "Um...it was dark blue."

"Are you 100 percent positively sure?"

Tommy gave him a nod. Well, it could have been a shade of gray or black, but those all looked relatively the same to him. It was the best he could give.

"And what about yesterday?"

"Yesterday? I didn't see him yesterday." Tommy said. That was the truth, he hadn't. He'd been home, but he'd avoided his father whenever Malcolm was home. Any other time he was out with Laurel.

"I see. And the day before that?"

"I don't know. I don't pay attention or even see him everyday. I hate my father, do you think I try to memorize what he wears?" Tommy questioned, anger filling his voice.

"I see," he stretched his chin, "Driver stop the car."

He stopped the car. Tommy looked at him, and the driver, unsure of what might happen.

Sage opened his door and stepped one foot outside.
"I'll be taking my leave now, Mr. Merlyn. I thank you for the company."

Tommy didn't say anything. He didn't even know what to say. He just wanted to get out of here.

"I trust you won't sick the cops on me," said Sage after fully stepping out, "After all, I never did threaten your life or anything menacing of the sort."
He tossed the thing from his pocket onto the seat. It was a cheap plastic water gun.
"I'll be seeing you then," he gave a little salute.

Tommy looked at him and let out a sigh, his heart rate dropping. But he was still worried. What the hell had all of this been about? He looked at the driver, "Go. Take me where I told you to go." He wanted to get home. He looked at the man, and then realized he'd probably have to take this information to his father.

Sage closed the door and went on his merry way. He got what he wanted, time to cross Tommy Merlyn off the list.
He looked back as the car drove out of view as fast as it could.
Or maybe not just yet..
