Sage sat on a bus bench right across from the main headquarters of the Melyn Global Group. He was dressed in a worn out old brown duster he bought off a homeless man for a couple of bucks and a cheeseburger.
It smelled like rotten fish and old whiskey, but it only slightly bothered Sage. He was too focused on this stakeout. It could take months or even years to catch Malcolm Merlyn in the act, but when he finally does slip up, Sage will be there to catch every single second of it.

Tommy hadn't planned on spending time at the company, but his father had called him in. He and his father may not have gotten along well, but he was still living off his father's money, so he felt obligated to go and not piss Malcolm off. After a short time there, where Tommy had said he wasn't going to run the company, the Merlyn son had left and was on his way out of the building.

"5:05 PM," Sage said into his microphone disguised as a ballpoint pen, "Tommy Merlyn, son of Malcolm Merlyn and heir to the coveted throne, steps out of the main building. Will pursue."

Tommy walked to the curb and hailed a taxi. He stood there for a few moments until one came, and then he got inside. He was going to head home for now, and then probably to CNRI a bit later to see Laurel and take in some food.

Vic had left the Sage Machine a few blocks back, but this doesn't mean he was going to give up so easily. Instead he had this ballsy idea of walking right next to Tommy.
"Hello there," he nodded at Tommy, "Do you mind if we share a cab?"

Tommy turned to look at the man, and then looked him over. He looked poor, or something. Not quite poor, but something vagrant-ish. He wasn't going to turn him down because he didn't want to share, he was going to turn this man down because he figured he might not be the safest.
"Sorry, but I don't think we're going the same way," Tommy told him. And it was true, he was heading home, and he doubted this man had anything to do up in that rich area.

"Oh, i'm not going anywhere in particular. I just enjoying riding in taxis," answered Sage with a chipper smile on his face.

"Sorry, find another taxi," Tommy told him. Something about this guy was a little unsettling, and he figured once more that this man might not have money to pay. It sounded like this man probably had some evaluations to do on what he spent his money on.

"Alright then," he nodded but did not move one inch away.

Tommy looked at him for a moment and then sighed, "Take this one then. I'll get another." There, that would tell him what he needed to know. Was this guy actually just looking for a random ride, or was there something else to this?

"Nah, i'm fine. I actually don't have any money for cab fare."

"Then I'll be taking it and be on my way," Tommy told him. This was going to be the deciding part to see if he was trying to do something involving Tommy or not.

"Alright then, nice talking to you."
Sage began to whistle non-nonchalantly.

Tommy ignored him and got inside the cab. He closed the door right away just to deter the other man from trying to get inside as well. Tommy quickly told the driver his destination. The sooner he was gone, the better.

Sage walked around the cab and got in on the other side.
"Hello again," he nodded.
