Just another somber day at the Queen Mansion. Moira had just crawled out of bed, fluffed her hair a bit, and was glad in her red silk robe.
She strolled through the empty hallways, past the paintings and other miscellaneous decorative knickknacks. She paused at the spot that once held a suit of armor passed through the Queen family for generations, but Moira couldn't stand to look at it anymore and had it placed in storage.
If only she could get rid of everything else...
She neared Thea's room and wondered if she was actually in there and not off getting high or becoming the mother of some bastard spawn after a night of drunken passion.
"Thea?" she called out gingerly, "Thea, honey? Are you awake?"

It took about twenty seconds before Thea came to and opened her door. It wasn't that she was doing something and had to hide the evidence, it was that she'd been sleeping and didn't want to get out of bed. Instead of being in a robe or anything, she was just covered in a blanket from her bed.
"Yes mom?" she asked in a tired tone. She wasn't in the mood for anything but sleep right now. She'd been out late last night and needed some sleep.

"It's almost noon, where you still asleep?" asked Moira eyeing her daughter suspiciously, "You did seem to come home rather later last night."

"Very astute. I was late last night," Thea told her mother. By no means was she going to say why she was late, "I was with friends." Partial truth there, they were friends. She just didn't need to say what it was they had been doing.

"Friends, huh?" she crossed her arms, "And what exactly where you and these friends doing together?"
She had her suspicions, but she wanted to believe the best in her child. She knew all too well the pain her daughter felt, it was the same pain she felt every minute of every day.

Thea just kind of shrugged at that, "You know, hanging out, joking around. Oh, and last night we also decided that we don't have enough money, so we decided to go knock over a gas station. Is that what you want to hear? Do you really not trust me and think I'm out there, getting into trouble?" she questioned with an annoyed and snarky comment.

"Oh Thea.." she sighed, "I hope you and your friends at least wore ski masks when you robbed that gas station. Don't want the police showing up here, do we?"
A knock came at the door and then the bell.
"That must be them now."

Thea didn't say anything. She just wanted her mother to leave and deal with the door, and maybe she could get some more sleep. Or at least she could figure out what she was going to do with herself, considering she wasn't dressed underneath the blanket she had on. But that wasn't a priority right now.

The doorbell rang once more. Moira sighed before calling out, "Coming."
She left Thea to her own devices and headed towards the door. Usually this would be a servant's job, but Moira Queen didn't always like relying on others.
She unlocked the door as quickly as unlocking several different locks takes and opened it.
There stood a blonde girl about Thea's age that Moira had never once laid eyes on before.
"Can I help you, Miss..?"
"Worth, ma'am. Rose Worth. I'm here to see Thea. She home?"

Thea had just gone back to her bed and dropped down into it. Still far too early for her after last night. She just pulled the blanket closer to herself and tried to fall back to sleep, but it wasn't going to come easily. She mentally cursed her mother's intrusion, because now it was going to take time to sleep again. Sleep is all she wanted for now, because it would help her for her next night out.
It was a vicious cycle, but one she didn't mind sometimes. She was living as Oliver had lived.

"Rose, is it? I'm sorry, I don't remember Thea mentioning you before," said Moira. Eyeing the girl. She was pretty, especially her smile, but Moira could tell instantly how fake that smile really was. There was more to this girl than meets the eye.
"That's probably because we've only met just recently," replied Rose, "Though we are on the fast track to being great friends."
"I see," said Moira, eyebrow raised, "Please come in."
She turned her head and shouted, "Thea! Your friend is here!"

Thea wasn't able to get back to sleep easily, and Moira calling her didn't help. She just ignored it and tried to get back to bed. The thought did linger on her mind for a few moments, however. Friend? What friend? What friend would possibly decide that this was a good time to visit, for that matter? She just groaned and rolled over, eyes still closed, trying to sleep.

"Thea? Thea!" Moira shook her head, "That girl, sometimes I just don't know what to do with her."
She sighed and turned back to this new friend of hers, "I'm sorry Rose, she seems to be asleep. Would you coming back later?"
The girl, Rose, had slipped in while Moira's back was turned and was examining a colorful pot from the Ming Dynasty they kept in the foyer to living things up a little.
"No problem, Mrs. Q, i'll wake Thea up and get her ready for the day," said the girl, "Her room's down there right?"
Moira nodded, "Third door on your left."
Rose walked right by her, the two exchanging glances. It was the first time they had actually made eye contact. Rose continued on until she reached Thea's room and kicked the door open.
"Sup," she said, her hands stuffed in her jacket pockets.

The noise of Rose's entrance got a groan from Thea, but that was about it. She wasn't even sure who it was, nor did she care. She wasn't going to waste time speaking, or telling her to go away. Sleep, that's all that was on Thea's mind right now.
She drew the blankets tighter around herself and let out another groan as she tried to fall to sleep again. Hopefully this guest would just leave her be, otherwise she wasn't sure what she'd do.

Rose took a quick glance around the room, exactly how she would picture a spoiled rich girl's bedroom to look like. It made her a little sick, but she continued inside.
She took one hand out of her pocket and began to stroke Thea's body from the ankle up.
