Thea was at a bar with some friends, probably a bit earlier than she should have been. If she wanted to drink, it was better to try that at a club where it was easier to get a drink without an ID, but she was here now, so she'd deal with it. Her two friends managed to get drinks without their IDs, but they'd done this more, they knew what they were doing a bit better.
Thea got her drink, happy that her fake was working yet. She wasn't as comfortable ordering from a bar, but it worked out at least. She wasn't comfortable being in a bar, this early, underage drinking, but whatever. Had this been later it might be better. Had this been a club, there was probably less chance of being caught. But it would work, she hoped.

Marigold wasn't entirely sure why she was here. She wasn't much of a drinker but she'd been dealing with some stress and thought that at least a cup of alcohol might not be such a terrible thing. But as she was the designated driver she couldn't go nuts.
She was in the process of determining what she would order when she noticed someone who looked familiar. She was younger looking and Marigold kind of wondered if she was actually old enough to drink.
Marigold approached her. "Hey, mind if I sit her?" she asked with a warm smile, trying to place her.

Thea had only gotten about one drink from her glass in before someone asked to sit there. She looked at Marigold and nodded, "Go ahead," she said. It didn't matter to her anyway, they'd probably finish their drinks soon enough and go somewhere else anyway. The sooner that happened, the better. She wasn't a bar fan.

Girl was definitely familiar but nothing was clicking. "I'm Marigold by the way. Nice to meet you," she said pleasantly. Hopefully the girl would introduce herself and she'd remember meeting her once somewhere or something. This was going to drive her mental until she placed her.

Just in case things went bad, she was going to stick to the name on her ID, "Mia," she told Marigold, "Mia Dearden." She still wasn't sure where that name had come from. Dearden was her middle name, though, but Mia? She wasn't a fan of that name for the most part.

Mia? No, that name wasn't ringing any bells whatsoever. But she was still really sure she'd seen this girl somewhere. The girl didn't seem to recognize her though either so she didn't feel bad saying, "You seem familiar".

Thea shrugged, "I don't know what to tell you. I don't think we've met before." She left it at that and took another drink. Yeah, the sooner they were gone the better...

Marigold shrug and took a sip of her drink. Her work had her running about a lot. So she might have just been someone she stumbled across. She shook her head. "Sorry. Long day. I'm probably just out of it. Hopefully yours is going better."

Thea didn't really want to get into a conversation like this, so she just kind of shrugged, "I guess it has been." It was a normal day for the most part. School sucked, she had her friends, and now drinking. But not drinking at a place she'd like, so not the best.

Marigold chuckled at Mia's expression. It looked like her day had been going about as well as hers. Mia was clearly younger but Marigold was never the sort to think that even children had it easier than adults. There problems were different but the intensity was the same. And hell sometimes even the problems weren't that different. Marigold had effectively been playing parent to the twins, feeding everyone since she was five.
But as Mia didn't want to think about her problems, Marigold didn't press the issue. She got that. Given that she didn't seem to be in a social mood it was kind of her to let her sit next to her.
"Looking forward to anything fun?" That was the lifeblood of everyone. There was so much shit in the world you had to focus on the little glimmering moments of positivity.

Well, she could answer that one, but she didn't want to talk about her plans. She was looking forward to changing venues at least, but she didn't say that. But she did decide to actually answer the other woman, "I'm looking forward to meeting up with my boyfriend later." If she met up with Richard tonight or not, she wasn't sure, but it was something to look forward to. Something fun. He was changing her behavior, and she loved being with him.

"That sounds fun," she said warmly. Marigold had never actually had a boyfriend. She was far too busy for such things. Originally she'd needed to worry about making sure she and the twins were provided for. And now all her cases kept her more than a little busy. She had to take comfort in the fact that at least one person wasn't corrupt or terrified and was doing all that could be done. She was sure there had to be some others but she hadn't sorted them out yet. Two many paid off individuals. In time she'd work out who was who.
This girl nagged at her brain. She was still certain she'd seen her somewhere. Work brain. Work.

Thea looked to her friends, who were getting up from their seats at the bar. Thea took one last quick drink from hers and got up. She looked at Marigold, and then started to walk without saying anything. She'd be happier to just be gone instead of talking to a stranger here, where she could get busted.

As the girl stood up it finally clicked. "Thea Queen," she said calmly, gauging the girl for signs of reaction. If she was who Marigold thought then she was definitely too young to be here drinking.

Thea froze for only a moment. Normally it wouldn't get to her, and she'd just deny it, but she was already uneasy enough being in a bar instead of somewhere like a club. She was far more comfortable there. She just started to walk again.
