It hadn't seemed real, but it was. Tommy hadn't been able to really see Oliver after his return, but that made sense. There were legal things, doctor things, family things... Now it was time for friend things. He'd given Oliver two days instead of dropping in right away, at the urging of doctors whom he'd run into while trying to see Oliver at the hospital. Apparently the less people the better, because it sounded like after five years on an island Oliver might have some shellshock or something.
Well, to Tommy that made sense. Five years alone like that must have been hell, and he'd give him a little space to be with his family, as much as it hurt to not go to him right away. But that time was up and Tommy had driven up to the Queen Mansion, waiting for Oliver. Drinks! He wondered if this would be Oliver's first drink since the yacht. He hoped it was, just to share that moment with him.

Oliver soon came out, dressed in the unusual suit and slacks, they were common place before but now they felt so..foreign. His best friend from before had invited him out for drinks. And since all the legal and family and doctor stuff was out of the way, he had no reason to decline.
The door opens and he slides into the passenger seat. "Hey." He gave with the usual Queen smile, in that persona at present.

Tommy gave him a smile back, "'Hey'?" he questioned, "After five years, all you can give me is 'hey'?" He laughed a little and shook his head, "It's so good to see you Oliver. Just...I don't even know how to put it to words."

"Hey man do you think I'd have some big speech?" He laughs, "I was never good at that kind of thing! There wasn't any entertainment on the island." His mood sobers a bit. "Well Tommy, you can try thinking of words as we go get a drink. Or, we could just say that it's damn good for me to be back, and for you to see me back, and call it good."

He nodded a little, smiling, "You know, those are good enough words for me. So right back at you then," he said as he took the car out of park, "You know, five years. You'd think that five years would give me time to think of something I'd say, if you hypothetically came back. It never came to mind though..."

Oliver shrugged. "A lot happens in 5 years. You live from day to day, or hour to hour...or even week to week. Sometimes you can forget things, that you don't want to forget, but you can't forget things that you want to." he gave. "It's alright buddy. I'm back now and we can catch up on what I missed."

He let out a sigh, "There's so much! I don't even know what the important parts are that I need to tell you. Well, I guess you could always go through the Wikipedia pages for those years, get an idea." He paused, then shook his head, "Yeah, I...I've just really got nothing."

"Ah well. Drinks first. We'll handle the rest as it comes." Oliver gave, leaning back in the passenger seat and relaxing a bit.

He nodded, "I'll hold off on things until we get our drinks then," he told Oliver. He had questions, but they could wait.

Soon enough, they'd arrive at the establishment, and on a prompt from Tommy Oliver had ordered a glass of his favorite drink. The pre-arranged booth was present, a corner one, for some privacy. Tommy sure did know how to book things, Oliver thought, and took his seat calmly, a bit of a grin on his face. "Nice place.."

Tommy nodded, "First bar in five years, I figured I'd have to find a good one. And one that can give us some privacy. I mean, I don't want our first time together in five years to be ruined by paparazzi or anyone else. Just you and me, that's what this is about." He lifted a glass, "Let's have this first drink together."

"Yeah. To a renewed friendship. And no paparazzi." He ticks his glass against Tommy's and has a sip, setting it down on the table. "Got me in trouble one time, those guys. One got too obnoxious and I punched him in the face." A grin is on his face with that admission.

Tommy drank his a bit as well. He didn't want to drink too much, since he'd be driving. He set his glass down and nodded, grinning, "Yeah, I remember that. Good times. I'd never have the balls to do something like that myself. I envy that in you," Tommy told him.

"Well it was also reckless and got me and my family in trouble. Not a whole lot of trouble, granted, but it wasn't that great. Still..the guy deserved it." Oliver gave, drinking a bit more. "So. I can see it in your eyes buddy. You got questions."

Tommy nodded, "I sure do," he said, not sure where to start. He paused, then shook his head, "Most of them are about what that place was like, and how you survived. But I assume that's something everyone has asked you."
